CENTRAL CITY - Minnie Magdelene Welborn, 90, of Central City, died Thursday, October 13, 2016, at 1:20PM at Owensboro Health Muhlenberg Community Hospital. Mrs. Welborn was born March 16, 1926, in Muhlenberg County. She was a seamstress at Cowden's, and a member of Belton Pentecostal Church. She loved to cook her sons' dinner and enjoyed having her entire family together. She loved to quilt and vacation at Kentucky Lake. She had a special relationship with her dog, Baby. She was preceded in death by her husband, Brownie Welborn; son Freddie Welborn; seven brothers and sisters; and parents Pete and Mayme Miller.
She is survived by her sons, Tommy (Pam) Welborn of Central City, Ricky (Teresa) Welborn of Central City, and Jackie (Paula) Welborn of Louisville; daughter Shirley (Mike) Withrow of Edgewood; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Hazel Hunt.
Funeral services will be Sunday, October 16, 2016, at 2:00PM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Bro. Mike Foster Sr. officiating, assisted by Bro. Mike Foster Jr. Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 5-7PM at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
