GREENVILLE - Harold Glenn McElvain, 70, of Greenville, died Sunday, January 7, 2018, at 1:39PM at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Mr. McElvain was born July 29, 1947, in Muhlenberg County. He was former sheriff of Muhlenberg County and a member of East Union Baptist Church. He was also a member of Bremen Masonic Lodge #596. He was preceded in death by his son, Harold McElvain II; and parents Gratzy and Sudie McElvain.

He is survived by his wife, Kaye Bowles McElvain; brother Benny (Dianne) McElvain of Pinckneyville, IL; sister Carolyn Sue (Larry) Hill of Depoy; and nephews and nieces Chuck (Molly) McElvain, Mendy Mason, Whitney Mason, Bentley Browning, Drake McElvain, and Dan (Selna) McElvain.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at 11:00AM at Tucker Funeral Home in Central City, with Rev. Curtis McGehee officiating, assisted by Rev. Joe Chambers. Burial in East Union Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday after 5:00PM at the funeral home, with Masonic services at 6:00PM. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to East Union Cemetery Fund. Online condolences may be made at
